10/21/2008

Dallas, Texas - October 21, 2008 - Med-Trans Corporation announced today that the Regional West Medical Center, based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, has selected Med-Trans to assume operations of its Air Link Flight Program. Under the proposed arrangement, Med-Trans will enter into a long-term agreement to provide aviation services for the program. The partnership will become effective March 1, 2009.

Regional West Medical Center will continue to provide the same medical direction, medical staffing and program management to Air Link that it has provided since the program's founding in 1995. Air Link currently serves communities across Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota and Wyoming.  With the Med-Trans partnership, this will be the first air medical program in Nebraska utilizing night vision technology.  Med-Trans aircraft are equipped with safety equipment such as night vision goggles, enhanced vision systems, radar altimeters, GPS navigation, satellite tracking and communications, terrain alert warning system (TAWS) and traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS).

Susan Cozine Director of Critical Care Services of Regional West Medical Center, stated: "This new partnership between Regional West Medical Center and Med-Trans will serve both the citizens of the region and the Air Link program well. Our patients and healthcare partners will continue to see the same Air Link crews they have come to depend on over the years for clinical excellence, operating under the same protocols and medical direction of Regional West Medical Center. Additionally, our partnership with a top-quality and growth-oriented air medical provider such as Med-Trans Corporation facilitates significant aviation-related resources that will enable Air Link to flourish in the years to come."

"We are excited to have Med Trans return to Western Nebraska and look forward to the many ways this partnership will benefit our service to our region." said Dr. Peter Meyer Medical Director of Air Link.

"Med-Trans offered the Regional West Medical Center a unique, creative and customized solution for Air Link that generated a positive outcome for all constituencies," said David Griffiths, Chief Financial Officer of Regional West Medical Center. "We look forward to working with Med-Trans and believe that their customer service orientation, capital resources, expertise in structuring productive relationships with leading for-profit and non-for-profit healthcare providers, and high-quality reputation make them the right partner for the medical center."

Fred Buttrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Med-Trans Corporation, said Air Link has done a tremendous job of building hospital relationships and servicing EMS systems and communities. "Air Link is a premier flight program in the air medical industry and we intend on continuing that success under the hybrid delivery model, which builds on the best capabilities of the hospital and the aviation operator to deliver a top-quality service. Med-Trans has successfully partnered with leading healthcare providers under the hybrid delivery model since 1995.  Regional West Medical Center is a 189 bed, not-for-profit medical center, which serves as a referral center for the Nebraska Panhandle, Southwest South Dakota, Northern Colorado and Eastern Wyoming. The medical center is the region's only Level II Trauma Center and is one of the largest employers in Western Nebraska.
