Med-Trans Corporation to Assume Operations for MONOC's MedEvac Program
12/18/2009

(DALLAS - 12/18/200)  Med-Trans Corporation has reached a mutual commitment with MONOC to become their new aviation partner for their MedEvac program. Both parties are working diligently to complete the terms of a formal contract and expect to execute an agreement by the end of the month. This concludes a nearly three month process of selection during which MONOC focused on safety, experience and quality as our

guiding principles in choosing a new air-medical transport service partner.

Med-Trans will replace the current aviation partner for MONOC-One, MONOC’s air medical program. MONOC-One became operational almost four years ago and has been providing both inter-hospital medical transports of critical patients as well as emergency, on-scene response for serious trauma incidents.  The MedEvac program is one of several services provided to, and on behalf of, 15 member hospitals.  MONOC, a non-profit hospital cooperative, is the single largest EMS and medical transport provider in New

Jersey, operating over 100 ambulances, 15 paramedic units, and employing more than 500 clinicians.

We are very excited about this new and promising relationship. Med-Trans is one of the nation’s leading air medical services and has an outstanding safety record. They have partnered with dozen’s of hospitals across the country to provide the highest level of aviation support for superior MedEvac operations”, said Vincent Robbins, President & CEO of MONOC.

Fred Buttrell, CEO of Med-Trans, said “Safety has always been a number one priority for Med-Trans! We believe in safe operations at every level of our organization and will continue to focus on safety for all endeavors including training, and incorporating the latest safety technologies and refining safety management practices.

MONOC and Med-Trans are finalizing the details for a smooth transition plan which will allow for an uninterrupted switch from MONOC’s previous aviation partner, to Med-Trans. We expect this change to occur on February 1st of 2010.
